And the final 2 miniatures for my army. The last 2 haemonculi.
Venomlord Stich is the real warrior of Skrax' lieutenants. He is meant to primarily lead and train the Wracks. As you may notice, all the harmonculi in my army are in white armor. This is to help them stand out among the teeming masses of ratskin and eerie green armor.
And finally the master Haemonculus himself, Verminlord Skrax in his final form that marks the end of his descent into madness, and the beginning of his crusade against his peers. It may be hard to tell, but he is the biggest of all the haemonculi, barely fitting on that 25mm base.
Next my big project is working on the display board. Once I get that finished, you will be able to see the whole thing together in all its glory. I can't wait!

The Coven of Verminlord Skrax - WIP Haemonculi
Since I got my Deadzone kickstarter, I finally have the last 2 models I need to finish building my Haemonculus Covens army. This army has been in the plans for quite some time. I was planning the conversions about the time I did the backing. It was a couple of the minis they showed on the rewards page that solidified what kind of army I wanted to do. The original beginning idea for the army I already outlined here.
First off is the second Haemonculus in my army. This will be Venomlord Stich, the second of Verminlord Skrax' lieutenants. This one will follow the theme of my Wracks, as shown with the larger whip coil on his arm. Again, keeping with the WYSIWYG ranged weapons, he is holding a splinter pistol gangsta style in his left hand. The model is the Piper, a Kickstarter exclusive miniature for Deadzone 2.0. The part I love about him is his foot is propped on a pipe coming out of the ground with a swarm of rats pouring out. Very apt, I think.
And finally we have the master Haemonculus himself, Verminlord Skrax. I have a complete origin story for him, which I will provide on a later date. I have an arrangement with my brother, Jarom, to illustrate a short comic I wrote telling the story of Lord Sigcourax and his transformation. When that gets done I will post it here. In an exchange I will be painting 30+ Stormboys for his army. The base model for this is the Brood Mother, another miniature from the Deadzone Kickstarter. When I saw this mini I knew it had to become the final vessel for my warlord, an especially imposing rat. I mounted the usual WYSIWYG splinter pistol on his left arm and replaced the staff tip with that of a warpstone, similar to what I did for Warplord Tich. The mini is actually pretty large for a 25mm base, so I did the piece of scrap he is standing on, and careful not to completely cover the base for measuring. I was about to mount him on a 32mm base, but at a tournament it could be argued that it is not a legal conversion, because all official Haemonculus models are on 25mm bases.
The good news is my entire 1850 pt Haemonculus Covens is completely built. Now just to get it all painted in time for the tournament, as well as complete my display board.

The Coven of Verminlord Skrax - Painted Models Part 1
I have been slowly working on painting my Dark Eldar army, and I got some dudes to show off now.
The Haemonculus w/ Webway Portal, Warplord Tich
10 of the Wracks are complete, with glowing yellow whip coils and all. I am in the process of painting the other 10.
In the tournament, having a full set of 6 objective markers helps with bonus points. So keeping with the Skaven theme I built them out of leftover sprue and made some Warpstone objectives. These of course can be used for 40k, as well as AoS as a bonus. Each marker is numbered 1 through 6 based on the number of crystals protruding from the base. So that front left is (1), and the front right is (3). Verminlord Skrax has found that these crystals can be used in several devices to power their machines as well as control and vitalize his rat minions.

The Coven of Verminlord Skrax - WIP Haemonculus w/ Webway Portal
The last bits of my Haemonculus Covens army are the haemonculi. There will be 3 of them because one is needed for the Dark Artisan formation (which will be my warlord, Verminlord Skrax) and the 2 needed for the Covenite Coterie detachment. When Signourax was evolving the rats on the world he was stranded on, some turned into monstrous creatures, and others became smarter and more creative. Some of these became his assistants and lieutenants. This is Warplord Tich, and the large coil on his back represents him carrying a Webway Portal. This is the same coil on the backs of the grotesques. Sigcourax does not have the technology for the webway, so he and his rat assistants have developed a simple form of teleportation.
The base model is a Mantic Veer'myn hero model (forgot what it was called). The conversions are the coil on its back, and replacing the large drill with a warpstone piece from some Skaven bits I ordered (this one in particular is a Warp Lightning gun from the Doomwheel kit). And of course a Dark Eldar splinter pistol on its other arm. Finally the head is one of the brain-rats from the Stormfiends kit. The smarter rats are the smaller ones, hence the pilots of their vehicles, and since this one needs to be in the front lines to escort the grotesques, Sigcourax created for him an augmented body suit.
